My 90-Day Plan

Quarter starting:
One theme for these 90 days (optional):
TL;DR
  • Pick 1–3 goals for the next 90 days — fewer is better.
  • Break each into a milestone for month 1, month 2, and month 3, plus a first action this week.
  • Print it, review it weekly, and adjust as you go.

Why 90 days beats a New Year's resolution

A year is too long to stay urgent — January's resolution is forgotten by March. Ninety days is the sweet spot: long enough to make real progress on something meaningful, short enough that every week counts. Set a small number of goals, break each into monthly milestones so “someday” becomes “by the end of month 1,” and you'll do more in a focused quarter than in a vague year.

How to use the 90-day planner

  1. Choose 1–3 goals. Three is the maximum; one or two is often better.
  2. Work backward into milestones. What has to be true by the end of month 1, 2, and 3?
  3. Name this week's first action for each goal — the smallest concrete step.
  4. Review weekly. A quarterly plan only works if you actually look at it.

Zoom in from here: the monthly calendar places milestones on real dates, the weekly planner breaks the month down, and the goal tracker checks progress. Our guides to building habits that stick and tracking daily wins keep momentum between reviews.
